Restoration Guide

Football Shirt Revival restores and customises football shirts with transparency. Any restoration or customisation work is clearly disclosed on the product page.

What Restoration Means

Restoration is work carried out to return a shirt closer to its original appearance, usually after wear, damage or missing applications.

Common Restoration Work

  • Sponsor replaced: a worn or missing sponsor has been replaced.
  • Sponsor added: a sponsor has been added where appropriate, such as a European variant.
  • Crest added or replaced: a crest has been added or replaced where disclosed.
  • Nameset added or replaced: player names and numbers may be added or restored.
  • Match ID added: match-specific details may be added for special editions or European fixtures.
  • Patch(es) added: sleeve or competition patches may be added.

Customisation vs Restoration

Restoration aims to return a shirt closer to an original specification. Customisation changes a shirt from its original retail specification, for example by adding a European sponsor, match detail or custom crest.

Before and After Evidence

Where available, product pages include before and after images to show the work carried out.

Transparency

Restored and customised shirts are not presented as untouched originals. Any known work is disclosed so buyers can make an informed decision.
